the expert team

Although we're based in Edgbaston, Birmingham, we have more clinics in London than any other chain of clinics, with nine in the centre of the city. Our medical staff tend to be doctors, GPs with Special Interests or Dermatologists and many work for us and the NHS on alternate days, continuing a decades long partnership.

Visit the clinic page of your choice to see who is practising there, or, alternatively, or visit our Medical Experts page and select a clinic according to whom you would prefer to see. Full doctors' profiles are there but if you have questions you need to ask, then please ring 0333 220 9887;as our colleagues in our Clinic Support centre know our clinics and doctors very well and can help you.

Seeing a doctor who just started off by saying he could help, filled me with confidence for the first time in years
I felt my acne was disfiguring and no one understood how I felt. But the team did and they knew they would be able to help me achieve clear skin

What will happen at my acne consultation?

1. Guidance, identifying the best treatment plan for you:

In line with our code of ethics, we only offer treatments that offer you a clear clinical benefit. This may be as straightforward as recommending a course of Specialist Clinical Products to you. Or, if your acne requires it, we will discuss the best order to carry out your treatments and the most convenient plan for you, including treating two areas of your body during the same appointment. You may have concerns about how pigmentation will react to acne treatments. We have solutions for most skin problems and will build a treatment plan to meet your precise needs. Your treatment plan will depend on whether you have mild, moderate or severe acne.

2. Your Clear Skin Plan:

Together we'll create a plan for you to regain precious control over your skin condition.

We know one of the worst aspects of acne is feeling out of control. Together, we want to plan for you to have clear skin. The treatments can be complex, or ones you've not heard of before. For that reason, and because you might feel distracted or upset talking about your acne or showing it to your practitioner, we give you all the expert information you'll need to read at your own speed, including:

  • Your personalised treatment plan, so you know what to expect.
  • Treatment fact sheets, for example detailing what a Salicylic Peel is and how you can expect your skin to feel during the process and afterwards.
  • A Specialised Clinical Product guide. Our products have been specially formulated to work in conjunction with our treatments. The guide explains how to get the most benefit.
  • Price lists and payment options, with money-off vouchers for future options.

If you feel you need more help or advice, we can book you in to talk to a medical professional of your choice, or you can come back at a further date to pick up with the doctor or nurse you've already met. Our Contact Centre staff are well trained to answer your queries, but importantly know how to point you in the direction of a real expert if you need one. We're on hand seven days a week, every day but Christmas Day, in 40 clinics across the country from Aberdeen to Brighton, Norwich to Bristol.

3. A clear picture of the timings and costs involved:

There is no obligation to buy and you will not be pressured in any way by our medical practitioners. We have payment plans to suit you and can talk through the options at your request. If you decide to have treatment with us, there are various payment options available to you. Interest-free credit arrangements, frequent promotions and larger or smaller courses of treatment can all be explored to suit your circumstances. We'll also discuss the best time for you to come to clinic. With opening hours from early until often 9pm, seven days a week, we are able to offer our clients superior convenience.

4. Who will I see?

You will see a trained acne practitioner at your first consultation. All our practitioners are registered in their field and highly skilled.

If your acne is severe, you will see a doctor for a secondary consultation.

As a thank you for visiting, we'll offer you a complimentary professional skin scan, completely free.
