Leto also holds a PhD, MsC and Masters in interventional radiology. She was awarded with 4 funded grants for research and training. Apart from being a senior honorary lecturer she is also the lead for undergraduate radiology at St George’s University of Medicine, thus heavily involved with teaching.

In regards to her clinical activities and interests, she is heavily involved with trauma and is currently the lead interventional radiologist for major trauma in this big, busy trauma centre. This involves setting pathways, raising awareness, auditing and optimising the quality of IR trauma service.

Apart from trauma she is particularly interested in innovative endovascular treatments for both arterial and venous diseases (ranging from varicose veins to complex peripheral and visceral arterial interventions). She has been a co-investigator in several trials associated with innovative peripheral vascular interventions while she has also been invited as instructor in international conferences.

Gynaecologic interventions is another area of interest (eg pelvic congestion syndrome, fibroids, postpartum haemorrhage) where she is active both clinically and research wise. She has published her series on postpartum haemorrhage and recently on imaging findings following fibroid embolisation. She has been invited in international conferences to moderate and as a lecturer while she also contributes as co-investigator in a large multicentre randomised control trial in regards to fibroids, across the UK.

As Leto has recently become a mum, she spends the majority of her free time with her little daughter. As a former active person, she now keeps on cycling with a babysit, hike with a baby carrier backpack but is still not sure how to get back to her free diving.
