Dr Jaff qualified as a doctor in 2003, having studied Medicine at the University of Sulaimany in the north of Iraq, before relocating to the UK and finishing most of her basic medical training in the West Midlands.In 2013, Dr Jaff gained a PG Diploma in Clinical Dermatology from the Queen Mary University of London. She started training in Dermatology in 2015 in Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation trust. She continued working for the trust until 2021, when she moved Aberdeen.

Dr Jaff has always been interested in supporting junior doctors and the nursing staff, as well as GP colleagues who had special interest in dermatology. As a Dermatologist, she was actively involved in the trust teaching programme for medical students and junior doctors. She has done multiple presentations to other healthcare professionals about dermatology. She also helped with mentoring and supporting nursing colleagues to help in obtaining a higher degree.

Dr Jaff speaks fluent Kurdish and Arabic, as well as English.
