When is the best time to wash your face?

Washing your face is important in order to improve and keep a great skin tone. However, it's been suggested that there are specific times of the day to cleanse your face to achieve the best results for your skin. We will go through when is the best time to wash your face and why.
First thing in the morning and just before going to bed
You might have heard how important it is to wash when you wake up and before going to sleep. Indeed, these steps are crucial to maintaining good skin or improving your acne and eczema as in the morning you need to refresh your skin from your good night's sleep. However, it is also suggested to cleanse your face in the evening before going to bed to get rid of all the bacteria that have landed on your skin during the day and properly rejuvenate your skin during your sleep. These key steps are yet little baby steps in improving your skin.
Washing it before and after working out
Washing your face before and after you go to the gym might seem like a very logical thing to do but do you actually do it? Washing your face before you exercise should be considered a must-do. If you have not done so, when exercising, you are sweating against all the oil and dirt on your skin, which can lead to clogging and increasing your chances of developing acne. Furthermore, if you constantly touch your skin this is only going to make things worse as you are pushing the oil, dirt and dead cells into your pores which will cause breakouts.
Do not over cleanse
Over cleansing your skin will unfortunately not improve your skin but rather deteriorate it. Indeed, washing your face too often will irritate your skin and make your acne worsen.
