Mr Iain Anderson

Consultant Plastic Surgeon

Mr Anderson completed his medical degree in Newcastle in 2012 having previously completed an additional degree in anatomy and physiology at King’s College, London. Following his foundation training he began plastic surgery training in the North East between 2014 and 2022, passing the final FRCS(plast) examination in 2021.

He has completed additional fellowships in reconstructive microsurgery in Glasgow, as well as being awarded a higher training fellowship in aesthetic surgery by the British Association of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons (BAPRAS) and British Association of Aesthetic Surgeons (BAAPS).

He is a consultant plastic surgeon in Newcastle upon Tyne, specialising in; excisional skin cancer and sarcoma surgery, laser and all aspects of reconstructive surgery including microsurgery. He is a registered member of the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh, as well as holding membership with the British association of Plastic Aesthetic and reconstructive Surgeons (BAPRAS), and the British Association of Aesthetic Surgeons (BAAPS).

He has published in multiple peer reviewed journals and presented at National and International meetings. He is actively involved in teaching and training future plastic surgeons and medical students.
