About Lip Fillers
Lip Fillers enhance the natural shape of the lip and can add extra volume and plumpness. This is the ideal treatment if your lips are lacking in shape or elasticity. A vial of Juvederm is injected into the lips during the treatment, and a typical Lip Filler treatment would require 1-2 vials, depending on the desired effect.
Ensuring a natural looking lip
We have all seen it, the duck lips. To avoid this over-done look, our highly trained Practitioners will work with the natural shape of the lips to add volume and definition. ‘Duck lips’ can occur when too much filler or an unsuitable product has been used. This is why it is so important to ensure your treatment is carried out by a Doctor or Nurse Prescriber who is fully trained and has a detailed knowledge of the anatomy of the face.
You can find out more about our Dermal Fillers and Lip Fillers, including treatment pricing, before and after shots and client testimonials. Many of our clients combine Anti-Ageing Injectable treatments with Dermal and Lip Fillers. To find out more visit our Anti-Ageing Injectable page.

What is Juvederm?
Juvederm is an industry leading filler product made by Allergan. The Juvederm collection of fillers are made from hyaluronic acid, a natural substance in the skin that delivers nutrients, helps the skin retain moisture, softness and adds volume. The Juvederm treatment involves a series of small injections of gel which will add volume to soft tissue in the face. Fillers can be applied to the cheek, jawline, around the mouth, eyes and lips.
Why choose Juvederm?
Juvederm is the world’s leading brand* of hyaluronic acid facial filler and over 32.7 million people have experienced a Juvederm treatment worldwide. This product is made by Allergan, a global pharmaceutical company which markets a large portfolio of leading brands and best-in-class products for medical aesthetics and dermatology. The Juvederm product is designed to give you results that look and feel natural. Juvederm believe the 3 classic principles of beauty are symmetry, balance and harmony. These 3 elements are influenced by how well your features work together, hence why many people benefit from creating a much more natural look.
*The no.1 hyaluronic acid brand according to market share in the majority of markets where data is available (2016).
How much does Juvederm cost?
Depending on the amount of product required, Dermal Filler prices start at £300 for 1 ml for a Nurse Prescriber and £350 for a Doctor. Your Practitioner will advise how much they think you will need to achieve the desired result.
With Lip Filler, again it will depend on how much product your Practitioner thinks you need to achieve the desired results. Prices start at £175 for 0.5ml for Lip Lining with a Nurse Prescriber and £199 for Lip Lining with a Doctor. Plumping Lips with 1ml costs £225 with a Nurse Prescriber and £275 with a Doctor. This price is based on using Juvederm Smile.
How long do Juvederm Lip Fillers last?
You will see immediate results which will typically last 9-12 months. The timeframe can vary depending on a number of factors and how you look after your lips. For example smoking or sun exposure can have an effect on how quickly the body breaks down the filler. The amount of product used in the initial treatment can also have an effect.
How long do Juvederm Dermal Fillers last?
You will see immediate results and depending on the product used and the area treated, Dermal Fillers will last up to 12 months.
How are the Juvederm products different and how will I know which is the right one for me?
Your Practitioner will discuss with you the different options and recommend a specific product which will give you the best results. sk:n work with the following products:
- JUVÉDERM VOLUMA® – corrects age-related volume loss and effectively adds volume to the cheek area.
- JUVÉDERM VOLBELLA® – softens the appearance of vertical lip lines and adds natural looking volume to the lips.
- JUVÉDERM ® – is highly effective in adding fullness and plumps lips as well as soothes and corrects moderate to severe smile lines. This product is designed to smooth moderate to severe lines and wrinkles around your nose and mouth.
- JUVÉDERM VOLUX® – helps define the jawline.
I would also like to have a chemical peel. Is it best to have this treatment before or after dermal fillers?
During your initial consultation we will talk through all of the treatment options which will achieve the best results. You skin may benefit from one of our skin peels / chemical peels and we have a whole range to choose from, including Glycolic, Mandelic, Salicylic, Enner, Jessner peels. If your skin would benefit from one of these peels, we recommend you wait a minimum of 2 weeks (depending on the depth of your peel) after your Dermal Filler treatment. Skin Peels are great to remove dead skin cells, encouraging new ones to grow revealing soft and smooth skin.
Is there any important safety information I need to be aware of?
If you are unsure of anything at all, you can talk to your Doctor or your Nurse Prescriber during your consultation. sk:n is registered by the Care Quality Commission (CQC). For more information visit www.cqc.org.uk
