DO I NEED TO DO ANYTHING BEFORE MY APPOINTMENT?
Depending on the type of consultation or appointment you're having you may have to avoid sunlight, shave certain areas or make us aware of any medication you're using. Please contact us if you'd like to discuss your suitability for treatment solutions.
WHAT HAPPENS IF I CAN’T MAKE MY APPOINTMENT?
We have a strict cancellation policy that states clients must phone clinic support before 10am the day before the appointment. Failure to contact sk:n before this time will result in the loss of the treatment from your value pack or your deposit being redeemed. We are unable to accept appointment changes by email.
CAN I BRING A FRIEND OR A CHILD TO MY APPOINTMENT?
We kindly ask any friends or family members of the client (who is aged 18 or over), to wait in reception during consultations and treatments. Children are not allowed to accompany clients into treatment, but may sit in the waiting room, so long as they are supervised by an adult (other than the client).
CAN I CHANGE MY CHOICE OF CLINIC?
You are welcome to change the clinic that you’re booked in at so that it’s more convenient for you. Please check out Our Clinics and find a more suitable clinic and give us a call to re-arrange your appointment. Please note a change of clinic is dependent on treatments and availability.
WHAT WILL HAPPEN IN MY CONSULTATION?
This depends which kind of treatment you have booked.
The practitioner will ask you for your medical history and will make a note of the type of acne you are suffering from. They will then discuss with you which acne treatment they would recommend, how it works and the results you should expect. Many factors affect the success of acne treatment and these will be explained to you. Before beginning the treatment, you will need to sign a consent form and also have photos taken of your acne so we can record the progress of the treatment. Some of our acne treatments work best in combination with products specifically created for acne, so your practitioner may recommend you purchase these to prepare your skin for treatment.
REJUVENATION OR DERMATOLOGY CONSULTATION
During your consultation, your practitioner will ask you why you’re seeking treatment and will assess your skin’s condition and skin type to determine which treatment is right for you. The treatment process and factors than can affect the success of your treatment will then be explained to you. You will also be asked for details of your medical history. Before booking a treatment you will need to sign a consent form and have photos taken of your skin so we can record progress of the treatment.
LASER HAIR REMOVAL CONSULTATION
At your consultation, the practitioner will ensure you are suitable for laser hair removal and outline the results you should expect to see. Also, the treatment process and the factors that may affect its success will be explained to you. We’ll ask you details about your medical history and existing hair removal methods. Before booking a treatment you will need to sign a consent form and have photos taken of your skin so we can record progress of the treatment.
TATTOO REMOVAL CONSULTATION
You will be asked for details about your medical history and then the treatment process will be explained to you. Your skin condition and skin type will be assessed as well as the specifics of your tattoo, to determine if this treatment is right for you. You will need to sign a consent form and also have a test patch lasered before can start having your tattoo removed. We will also take photos of your tattoo so we can record the progress of the treatment.

Please bring with you examples of any medication you are taking.
