Your trusted BOTOX Clinic in Wilmslow
BOTOX is a prescription-only muscle relaxant developed to treat chronic migraines, facial lines, excessive sweating and muscular disorders. Injected in certain muscles and areas of the skin, Botulinum toxin type A works by interrupting the muscle signals to block the development of these conditions.
Your consultation will be booked with a doctor or nurse prescriber at sk:n Wilmslow, who will discuss your condition or concerns, and whether treatment with BOTOX could be suitable for you.
Anti-ageing injectables can address many signs of ageing
Hollow cheeks
Volume loss in the mid face or jawline can make you look older, and can be treated or defined with dermal filler
Perioral lines
These are fine lines around the lips that run from the mouth to the chin, caused by loss of collagen and elastin. Profhilo and filler are good treatments for this area.
Nasolabial folds
These folds run from the nose to the mouth. They can be minimised by injecting dermal fillers or lifted with thread lifts.
Marionette lines
Folds that run from the mouth to the chin, which can be reduced or lifted with dermal filler, laser resurfacing or skin tightening.
Crow’s feet
Wrinkles around the eyes can be minimised with skin treatments, laser, dermal filler or Profhilo.
Thin lips
Having thinner lips is not always a sign of ageing, but they can easily be volumised or defined with lip filler.

BOTOX FAQs
Is BOTOX safe?
BOTOX is a prescription-only medicine, and as such, it is subject to strict regulation. This means it can and should only be prescribed by a qualified and competent healthcare professional, such as a doctor, or nurse. It has been medically approved for treating a number of conditions for decades. It works by partially blocking nerve impulses to muscles that have been injected, and is known to be effective against chronic migraines, excessive sweating, urinary incontinence, muscle spasms and temporarily improving the appearance of lines. Like most treatments, there can be side effects, although in our experience side effects are very minimal (approximately 1-3% of cases). However, side effects can be corrected or will fade in time. To dramatically reduce the risk of complications it is important that BOTOX is only administered by highly qualified healthcare practitioners in a safe and medical environment – such as at sk:n.
What happens at my BOTOX consultation?
Your consultation for BOTOX® treatment will be with a highly trained medical professional who is experienced in administering injectables. In order to ensure we achieve the results you want, we will discuss with you your skin concerns, timings and finances. Our consultations are no obligation and we aim to help you understand the treatment, its effects and how it works to prevent and/or improve your fine lines.
What is BOTOX used for?
Botulinum toxin type A, or BOTOX as it is more commonly known, is indicated for treatment for a number of conditions. It works by interrupting the muscle signals to treat a number of conditions from facial lines to migraines, muscular disorders and excessive sweating.
