Your Trusted Acne Scar Treatment Clinic in Bristol
According to the British Skin Foundation, 28% of the UK population suffers with acne and 95% of acne sufferers say it impacts their daily lives. Even once acne has completely healed and is no longer active, it can still leave behind visible, permanent scarring. The good news is, there are a number of innovative treatments available to help improve the appearance of acne scarring. At our sk:n clinics in & near Bristol we are able to offer expert advice from our qualified doctors, plus proven-effective treatments to address acne scarring. Acne scarring is caused by the body effectively putting ‘too much effort’ into healing the wounds caused by acne, causing an excess of collagen built up in the skin. This collagen may stay in place permanently, creating acne scarring.

Frequently Asked Questions
How long does it take for acne scars to go away?
Before we know the answer, it is important to determine the type of scar which we will do in your initial consultation. It is essential we wait until your skin is almost clear of acne to begin treatment. As an example, many of our clients see great results from microneedling where a course of three is required at four week intervals, so you may be looking at a minimum of three months to see any substantial results. With laser resurfacing, many clients experience amazing results after just one treatment.
How will I feel during my acne scarring treatment?
In most laser or microneedling treatments, there may be some very mild discomfort but anaesthetic cream can be used before the treatment if necessary. Laser resurfacing will leave a visible wound, which can cause some discomfort; however suitable pain relief will be prescribed by your practitioner at the time of treatment.
Is acne scarring treatment for me?
The treatments we offer to combat acne scarring are effective for most people. If there are any issues with your suitability for treatment, your practitioner will discuss these with you at your initial consultation.
How long will the results last?
In most cases the results will be permanent, however if you suffer from acne again after having acne scarring treatment, there is a risk that new scars will form and you will require further acne scarring treatment.
I still have active acne, can I begin my acne scarring treatment?
No, you will have to wait to begin your acne scarring treatment until your skin is relatively clear. Any treatment can irritate your acne which can often be painful and sensitive.

Please allow extra time for city centre traffic. BRISTOL From M4 Junction 19 – Take the M32 into Bristol.
At the end of the M32 the road will split into two and you will need to head for signs for Clifton or the Bristol Royal Infirmary (hospital). Go past the Bristol Royal Infirmary which should be on your right hand side (B4051) and follow the road until the road splits into two, then stay in the right hand lane where the road will bend sharply around to the right and will bring you into Clifton Triangle. This road is one way only. As you go through the traffic lights you will see a grand looking building with a fountain outside the front. This is the Victoria Rooms. If you are facing the Victoria Rooms we are on the right hand side of this building. From M5 Junction 17 – Take the A4018 “Cribbs Causeway” towards The Mall Shopping Centre. Follow signs for Bristol Zoo (but do not turn off for the Zoo or Suspension Bridge) and take the A4018 “Westbury Road”. Stay on the A4018 to City Centre, to Blackboy Hill and the top of “Whiteladies Road”. The clinic shares it’s post code with a road at the back of the clinic called Sunderland place and can therefore cause confusion when using a sat nav.
From Bristol Temple Meads Station, we are approximately 15 minutes by taxi.
There are three pay and display parking bays outside the clinic. The first 30mins are free, though you will still need a ticket, thereafter the charge is £1 per hour for a maximum of three hours. There is additional parking available at the West End Multi storey car park signposted as you come off Queens Road.
