Investigations into non registered clinics in Wales rise

A recent BBC Wales investigation has found that the number of cosmetic laser clinics that are being investigated for not being registered had increased significantly.
Lisa Mason, Head of Medical Standards at sk:n comments: “We often see clients who have suffered at the hands of poorly run clinics . We understand the importance of regulation to prevent people from being injured and welcome the same standards wales enforces. It is very refreshing to see Health Inspectorate Wales not only regulating lasers but policing it.
We look forward to the Welsh government being proactive in the industry and hope they will look at a practitioners training in addition to the premises and equipment that are used.”
