6 tips for sparkling skin this November
04 Nov 2015
If your skin is feeling a little dull, fear not it happens to the best of us. Changes in weather, ageing and other lifestyle factors can all have an impact on the way our skin looks and feels. For healthier, brighter skin try these top 6 tips:
Drink at least 2 litres of water per day
Water is a vital part of keeping skin bright and hydrated. The first litre of water you consume goes to your internal organs, the second then feeds your skin. Therefore it is important you get enough each day to keep skin healthy and flush toxins away.
8 hours per night please! You skin cells repair during sleep, so keep snoozing for a clearer complexion.
Use a cleanser and exfoliator which contains glycolic acid. This will not only help to clean away dirt and make-up, but also exfoliate the skin, clearing away dead & dull skin cells.
As we age our natural rate of exfoliation decreases, leading to a build of dead skin cells. Without additional care, these skin cells will take a longer to renew. Treatments such as skin peels and microdermabrasion will help exfoliate skin, helping it to look brighter.
Lead a healthy lifestyle
Eating a good diet full of fruits and vegetables will help towards better skin. Antioxidants in such foods will help fight off free-radicals (caused by smoking, sun exposure etc.) that can damage the skin.
Wear an SPF every day, even when the clouds are out!
UV rays from the sun can age the skin dramatically. Wear sun protection (at least SPF 30) to help minimise the effects.
