Worried about your skin but not doing anything about it?
07 Jan 2015
With today's fast-paced lifestyles, it's easy to acknowledge that there may be problems in your diet, your skin, even your relationships without having the time to do anything about it.
A recent study by Canadean has emerged that suggests as much as 20% of Brits are worried about their skin aging but only 1/3 of them are actively dealing with it. Age spots and wrinkles can be a great concern, regardless of our gender or age but for many of us it's clearly not enough to make us adopt a new skincare routine.
How likely are you to do anything?
It seems those aged 55 and older are the worst when it comes to acting on skin ageing worries. 56% of this group claim not to have acted their concerns, possibly due to the skincare industry focusing their efforts on young adults.
It could not only be a symptom of industry standards, but perhaps many individuals feel that once they reach a certain age it's too late. The effects of time on your face can have a big impact on your self-esteem; it's likely that many assume anti-ageing is all about prevention and there's nothing that can be done once wrinkles appear.
Although it is always beneficial to start early, it is never too late to adopt a regular anti-ageing skincare regime. Treatments are also available to give these regimes a boost, like anti-wrinkle injections and skin peels.
