Men seeking laser hair removal in London dramatically increases
Since gaining recognition over a decade ago, laser hair removal has become an increasingly popular method of removing unwanted body hair. Though women have been known to go to great lengths to stay hair-free, it seems men are also increasingly taking an interest and exploring their options.
A report has identified that the number of men undergoing laser hair removal in London rose by over 80% between 2012 and 2013. It suggested that the number of male patients is soaring, making up to 17 percent of the laser hair removal patients.
Excess body hair can be caused by a number of reasons including genetics, ethnicity or hypertrichosis - this causes an increase in the amount of hair all over the body or specific parts. In addition, the hairs could either be fine and lightly coloured or thick, dark and long.
While a hairy chest was once viewed as a manly and attractive feature, it seems women increasingly prefer the contrary, as a recent study found that over 80% of females are more attracted to men with silky smooth chests.
Laser hair removal is known to be one of the most effective treatments for removing unwanted hair. It targets the hair with pulses of heat from a laser, after a number of sessions hair growth will reduce significantly or even stop altogether.
