Acne Uncovered: Megan’s story
9th September 2014
Acne Uncovered is a series of videos to raise awareness of the emotional effects on those that suffer with acne.
Model Megan has been modelling for nearly 13 years and is fortunate to have clear skin, an essential quality for a model.
However, her younger sister isn't so lucky and suffers from severe acne. Megan worked with sk:n Clinics and celebrity make-up artist Liz Tagg, to understand how her acne makes her feel, by applying a mask of prosthetic acne to her face.
As you see from the video, the transformation is very realistic. After the acne had been applied Megan felt instantly less confident and self-conscious. She didn't even leave the studio - so the experiment wasn't so much about what others think, but more about how she felt about herself.
At sk:n Clinics we believe that acne doesn't need to be a life-long condition and we have the solutions to help thousands of acne sufferers. If you suffer from acne, we could help you too.
