Acne Uncovered: Journalist Helen Wright experiences what having acne really feels like…
11th September 2014
Acne Uncovered is a series of videos to raise awareness of the emotional effects on those that suffer with acne.
Our journalist Helen Wright worked with celebrity make-up artist Liz Tagg, to undergo an acne skin transformation and spend a day in her new skin.
After going outside Helen reports back on how she felt extremely self-conscious, always thinking about her skin and how she felt her acne defined her as a person.
She would normally feel quite comfortable meeting new people, but when at the bar of a local bar she felt the urge to cover her acne and lacked the usual confidence she would have.
Helen has only been given a brief insight into what it's like to be an acne sufferer, but if you would like to talk to one of our experts about your real-life experiences with acne, then do get in touch or visit one of our clinics.
We believe that acne doesn't need to be a life-long condition. If you suffer from acne, we could help you too.
