When We Took A Skin Age Quiz

While looking for answers to the typical skincare and anti-ageing questions, like to help get rid of the wrinkles under our eyes, we came across this great quiz that goes through a serious of skin-related questions and gives you your skin age along with tips on how to keep your skin looking youthful.
The rest of the questions ask the following information:
- ‘radiance’ and complexion of your skin
- How old your parents look in relation to their actual age
- Your diet; fruit & vegetables, fats, sugars and alcohol intake
- Blood pressure, weight, height and amount physical exercise
- Sleep & sun exposure
- Skincare products & routine
- Smoking habits
- Emotional concerns and lifestyle stress
The results are surprisingly detailed; they give you an age of your skin in years, and advice on your skin tone and age.
The second part of the results is a diagram showing how old your skin is for each variable that they asked about:
The final section is titled ‘Skin Age Action Steps’ where they provide nine pieces of advice to help keep you look youthful. Most of the tips were relatively predictable, for example, reduce sugar intake, eat more balances diet, exercise more, etc. A pleasant surprised was the advice to have one alcoholic drink a day, no matter what the alcohol as well as giving advice on how to reduce stress with exercise.
What have we learnt?
Despite learning the different aspects of my life that affect how youthful my skin is, their main advice was to eat a balanced diet, get plenty of exercise and sleep and minimise sun exposure. There are many anti-ageing treatments that can help turn back the clock like microdermabrasion that are offered by specialist clinics and performed by trained clinicians.
