Treatment options for excess sweating during the summer period

11th July 2014

Summertime is probably many people's favourite time of year. We're able to sunbathe, enjoy summer barbeques and enjoy strolls on the beach after a long stressful week of working during this sunny season.

On the downside, hot weather climates are likely to lead to unpleasant excess sweat and hay fever in some people's cases, which is not ideal.

Below are a number of skin treatment options you can consider to overcome the problem of excess sweating also known as hyperhidrosis during the summer period.

Treatment option one for excess sweat - use deodorant on a daily basis

Applying deodorant on a daily basis is probably one of the most straight forward ways of overcoming excess sweat. It doesn't necessarily stop you from sweating but it can prevent you from smelling of bad body odour.

Deodorant can come in the form of antiperspirant sprays or roll-ons. They both serve the same purpose, but it's just the matter of what type of deodorant you are most comfortable with.

Treatment option two for excess sweat - give anti- wrinkle injections a go

You can get a qualified dermatologist to treat your hyperhidrosis condition at a skin clinic near you. This procedure entails anti-wrinkle injections to be injected into the underarms.

These help you break free from unsightly wrinkles and are also proven to successfully cure your hyperhidrosis skin condition. This is done by blocking the nerve impulses in your sweat glands which are a major factor in producing excess sweating.

Treatment option three for excess sweat - having regular showers and keeping clean is a must

Having a shower at least twice a day particularly during the summer and making sure you're always clean is one of the most basic ways of getting rid of bad body odour and excess sweat. Perhaps it would even be a good idea to carry a few spare clean handkerchiefs or cleansing wipes in your bag or pockets so you can wipe the sweat off as soon as you get the chance.
