The BOTOX® Interview
4th March 2013
When undergoing BOTOX® treatments it's important to know exactly what you're putting into your body. Here at sk:n we've compiled a brief set of questions we advise you always ask before your treatment.
Understand the Nature of the Treatment
We hear about the amazing results and how it can shave the years off but make sure you know exactly how BOTOX® works and what it's doing to your skin. At sk:n clinics we use Juvederm which is a substance that already naturally occurs in the human skin and helps to repair damaged tissue.
Check for Board Certification
There is a significant difference between those who carry out BOTOX® and those who should carry out BOTOX® . Always look out for people who are certified and are fully qualified to carry out your treatments.
What Should I Do Immediately After?
It's always worth asking your doctor about your after care and the best things to do post treatment. It's often advisable to stay upright for at-least 2-4 hours to prevent the BOTOX® migrating to other areas you don't want it too.
Ask How Often You Should Have Treatments
Don't end up looking like Joan Rivers. One of the most common mistakes when it comes to BOTOX® is that often people don't realise that it builds up over time. It's important that you are honest about your BOTOX® history as usually, if you need about 5 units initially over time you may actually only need 2.
