Dame Judi rolls back the years
17 Feb 2013
This February the film industry's biggest stars will descend on London to attend the BAFTA's, the UK's most prestigious film and television awards. Among the nominations for the best supporting actress is someone who's undoubtedly become a national treasure, Dame Judi Dench. Last year she stole the show in her role as M in the latest Bond movie Skyfall - that's some feat for a film with its fair share of explosions and an underground tube crash.
While her nomination will come as no shock to her legion of fans her age might. Dame Judi turned 78 in December even though she barely looks a day older than when she first played M in Goldeneye back in 1995. So just how has Judi Dench managed to maintain such a fresh, classical and natural look?
There's no doubt that Dame Judi will have looked after herself, receiving the best advice from leading dermatologists about how to retain a youthful, smooth and balanced look while ageing gracefully. One facial treatment she may have used is microdermabrasion. This treatment gently erodes the dead and tired skin cells on your face, which then encourages the growth of new skin cells, leaving the skin looking clearer and more youthful. While you might think that microdermabrasion is a facial treatment reserved for those that walk down the red carpet, rolling back the years is actually very affordable.
Just make sure that any treatment you have is carried out by a properly trained dermatologist. Going to a less reputable clinic could be a complete waste of money or, more seriously, could even jeopardise your skin's health.
The nationwide network of sk:n clinics are a great place to have your consultation, they offer highly qualified staff and opening hours to suit your busy lifestyle. So if you want to command the respect and admiration that Dame Judi Dench manages in the future it's time to start planning today.
