White bread has a high glycemic index, which increases insulin levels. Try to replace white breads with unprocessed, whole grain based foods.
Carbohydrates: worsens PCOS symptoms with increased levels of insulin
As high levels of insulin can worsen all of the symptoms of PCOS, a diet which consists of low glycemic index diet would be greatly recommended, making carbohydrates as only 30-40% of your diet. It also helps to combine carbohydrates with proteins or healthy fats and to eat small portions of carbohydrates throughout the course of the day instead of just eating it as part of one big meal.
