How to get clear skin for the party season
06 Oct 2012
Party season is just around the corner and you want to be looking your best - so how do you reduce the likelihood of a skin breakout?
Spots occur when there is a build-up of oil under the skin, but thankfully there are plenty of skin care products and procedures out there to prevent this from happening.
1. Avoid unnecessary contact with your face
The skin will start to produce oil when it comes into contact with other entities. Making sure that you don't touch your face too often - and keeping greasy hair out of the way - can help reduce the chances of a breakout.
2. Use a cleanser
One of the best skin treatments you can give your face is a thorough cleanse. Using a good product everyday can help the pores of your skin breathe again, making you less prone to a breakout.
3. Protect your skin from the sun
No matter how cloudy it may be, there are always harmful UV rays affecting your skin. If you wear a foundation with an SPF factor then this can help protect it from sun damage - not to mention a breakout of acne and other skin conditions. Be sure to use a light product to avoid clogging up your pores.
4. Improve your diet
What we put into our bodies can have an impact on the condition of our skin. While there can be the temptation to over-indulge during the party season, following a healthy diet can leave your skin looking more radiant and improve its tone.
5. Keep hydrated
Drinking plenty of water is another great way to keep your skin in top condition. It is believed to rid the body of toxins, which can only be positive thing for your skin!
