Microdermabrasion - what to expect
Exfoliating treatments are an excellent remedy to many of the most common skin complaints. Rosacea, milia, sun spots, acne scarring and fine lines and wrinkles can all be alleviated and improved through a variety of resurfacing techniques.
Microdermabrasion is one of the most popular and effective exfoliator treatments available and is suitable for most skin types. It is safe, non-invasive and produces excellent results for a variety of complaints.
How it works?
Microdermabrasion involves tiny crystal particles being blasted in high frequency at your skin. Think of it in terms of sandblasting; the high-speed particles bounce off the surface of your complexion and remove the upper layer of the epidermis. As a result, dead skin cells, oil, trapped dirt and hair are removed.
After the unwanted debris is removed from the surface of your skin, healing is promoted from within, as your skin's natural production of collagen is stimulated. Your complexion is left plumped, refreshed and renewed, while blemishes that were trapped in the upper layers of the skin (such as thickened scar tissue, fine lines and milia proteins) are also cleared.
