Dr Patalay qualified and trained in the UK in general medicine before training in Dermatology. He has more than 10 years of experience treating skin disease in the NHS. Dr Patalay currently works as a Consultant Dermatologist at St Thomas’ Hospital, the national centre for skin disease. He can see both adults and children with all dermatology conditions. He has an interest in acne, laser treatments, skin cancer and is an expert in skin surgery.

He is clinical lead for an international teaching diploma and regularly teaches GPs, junior doctors in the UK and abroad. He has published in numerous scientific and clinical journals, contributed to book chapters and has been an invited speaker internationally. He has been awarded a PhD from Imperial College London developing non-invasive imaging techniques for the diagnosis of skin disease and is a key opinion leader in this field.
