Children's Services at sk:n Sutton
sk:n offers a range of dermatological services for children at our Sutton clinic. All children's treatments are subject to a doctor consultation.
Treatments for blemishes, birth marks, port wine stains and other haemangiomas may be performed at the sk:n clinic or at the St Helier Children's Hospital in Sutton. The cost of facial haemangiomas is often borne by the NHS or Primary Care Trust.
Other children's services at Sutton include mole removal, laser hair removal, and treatment for spider naevi and acne.

How to find us:
By Road: From the M25, exit at Junction 8 and join the A217 towards Sutton. Drive for 6 miles on the dual carriageway and take the B2230 (Brighton Road) towards Belmont/Sutton. One mile down the Brighton Road, The Sutton Hospital entrance will appear on your right, past the Belmont Pub.
From South London, follow the A217 to the Rose Hill roundabout and take the second exit onto the B2230, signposted Sutton. Follow the one way system out of Sutton town centre towards Belmont and Reigate past the Sutton Railway station on your right. Sutton Hospital is approx one mile on the left. The main hospital entrance is at the bottom of Cotswold Road off Brighton road.
By train: Belmont station is a 5 minute walk away. The main line railway station is Sutton which is a 15 minute walk away.
By Bus: The Hospital is serviced frequently by the 80, 420, 440 and 598 buses which stop on the Cotswold Road outside Sutton Hospital.
Car parking: There are ample free parking bays (half an hour only) outside the main hospital entrance. Alternatively, pay and display parking is available and requires £1 coins.

Medical Director | Dr Chris Harland MA MB FRCP
Dr Chris Harland MA MB FRCP is the Surrey sk:n medical director and also consultant dermatologist at Epsom & St Helier university hospitals NHS trust, where he is clinical lead for the department.
Dr Harland is recognised nationally as an expert in the field of laser treatment of skin diseases. His specialist areas include laser ablation of rare, serious medical conditions such as lymphangiomata, hailey-hailey disease, tuberose sclerosis and epidermal naevi. His other interests include skin cancer surgery, and medical education. Currently, he is clinical sub dean for the trust, and for St. George’s University of London.
Medical qualifications:
MBBS – University of London 1983.
MA - University of Cambridge 1985, 1st class honours (cantab) 1980.
Previous positions:
1990 – 1994 senior registrar – St George’s and at St Helier Hospitals, London.
