Microdermabrasion

Microdermabrasion is a deep exfoliation method that instantly delivers smooth, radiant skin. Over time, the results are more effective as fine lines are softened and blemishes reduced. This relaxing treatment super-cleanses pores to refine skin texture and boost production of fresh cells and collagen – a must-have part of your skincare regime. What's more, you won't need time off work following treatment.

"Microdermabrasion has made such a difference. My skin has never looked better."

Rose, 35

What conditions can be treated by microdermabrasion

Microdermabrasion is one of the most sought-after procedures in the world, thanks to its great results and the number of conditions it can treat, including: wrinkles; fine lines; acne; acne scars; stretch marks; age/sunspots; enlarged pores; flaking and dry skin; pigmentation; sun-damaged skin; face and body peeling.

How does Microdermabrasion work?

The microdermabrasion system propels a jet of microcrystals across the skin’s surface, removing dead and damaged skin cells. In addition to deep cleansing, microdermabrasion also helps to remodel the collagen in the skin. The benefit is that after just one treatment you are able to leave the clinic with clean, fresh and sparkling skin. The technique is quick, virtually pain-free and takes just 15-20 minutes. The microcrystals are smooth and are vacuumed at a power comfortable to most people.

"My fine lines have faded and my skin looks so much clearer."

Eleanor, 43

Advanced Preparation for Microdermabrasion

If you are using skincare products containing Retin-A or glycolic acid you should stop using them 48 hours before your microdermabrasion treatment. You may resume them 24 hours after treatment.

How soon will you see results?

Microdermabrasion is a progressive procedure. After the first session your skin will feel softer and you may see a very subtle improvement. Generally, a minimum of four sessions is required to gain visible improvement. Your skin and circulation will improve with additional treatments, and newer, healthier skin cells are produced.

After Care

You can continue with your daily routine after microdermabrasion, and make-up can be re-applied immediately if required. You may find that the treated area is redder than usual – this is a good sign that the treatment is working, and this should fade very quickly. You must use a moisturiser that contains a UV sunscreen whilst undertaking microdermabrasion. We will advise you as to the most appropriate skincare routine following treatment.
